The VALORANT universe is undergoing significant transformations in preparation for the 2024 season. In a statement released on social media last Friday (15), commentator Guilherme “Tixinha” Cheida announced his voluntary departure from the Riot Games professionals.
After a decade devoted to the company, Tixinha has left his mark not only in League of Legends (LoL) but also, more recently, in VALORANT. The beloved esports community host shared that the decision to leave was driven by personal aspirations: “It’s time to seek new opportunities in my career, fulfill other dreams, and take different paths in my life.”
Tixinha’s journey at Riot Games began in 2013 as a freelancer. Two years later, in 2015, he was officially hired to join the LoL commentator team, remaining in that role until 2020 when he transitioned to VALORANT casting. The professional also mentioned that his focus will continue to be on VALORANT, participating in watch parties, ranked matches, and future projects, but he did not confirm the exclusivity of his upcoming content.
