On Wednesday (24), Deivid “Fuzari” Fuzari surprised everyone by announcing his departure from the competitive scene of VALORANT, the popular first-person shooter (FPS) developed by Riot Games. The main reasons behind this decision were the decline in competition quality and a lack of professional opportunities.
The news was shared through his personal profile on X, the former Twitter platform, where he explained his motivations for stepping away from the competitive scene.
Among the reasons leading to Fuzari’s decision, the noteworthy factor was the change in the competition format implemented by the developer, resulting in a decrease in the quality of the competitive scenario and, consequently, a scarcity of opportunities.
“Everyone has noticed that the scenario became challenging after the Franchise implementation; opportunities and championships were no longer the same. Therefore, I don’t want to dwell too much on this subject, but emphasize that my life has been dedicated to competition, and I know I did everything possible and even the impossible to achieve my goals and dreams,” commented Deivid.
Furthermore, regarding his future, the former Gamelanders player expressed gratitude for his professional development and his teammates. He stated that he will now pursue other professional goals but will continue playing casually.
“I am excited about the new journey and the new path, but I will keep playing and having fun, occasionally posting some things here.”
Fuzari has been active in the VALORANT competitive scene since 2020, having played for renowned teams such as Team Vikings, B4 Esports, Stars Horizon (SH), and Gamelanders. Throughout his journey, he achieved several regional championships in categories B and C alongside his teams, with his highlight being in SH, where he won the VCT 2021: Brazil Stage 3 Challengers 2.
