On the upcoming Wednesday, the 31st, the thrilling finale of the Afro Reggae Cup is set to rock the AfroGames Arena in Rio de Janeiro. This event, focused on youth from Rio’s communities, will feature intense showdowns in Free Fire, FIFA, and VALORANT.
Throughout the year, AfroGames participants dedicated themselves to a skill enhancement program across popular games like Free Fire, FIFA, and VALORANT. Additionally, they underwent courses in programming, game design, and English to prepare for the job market.
The finals extend beyond mere competition, incorporating an exciting showmatch. The initial phase unfolded from January 22 to 26 at AfroGames units in Morro do Timbau, Nova Holanda, and Vigário Geral – the primary headquarters and eSports Training Center in a favela.
In the realm of VALORANT, Vigário Geral students will face off against their Morro do Timbau counterparts, with only one team emerging victorious. It’s worth noting that the Afro Reggae Cup marks the celebration of AfroReggae’s 31 years of social impact.
