MIBR Concludes Participation in KICK//OFF Championship

The VCT Americas KICK//OFF witnessed MIBR (Made In Brazil) embark on their journey in the play-in stage, commencing on Monday (26) with a match against the Sentinels, in which they suffered a 2-0 defeat. Despite securing a 2-1 victory against G2 Esports in their last chance, the round difference bid farewell to them from the championship.

On the first map, Sunset, the Brazilians started with a disadvantage in the first half but managed to close the gap towards the end of the round, securing the pistol. This comeback brought confidence to the team, resulting in a 13-9 victory in the first game of the series.

On their chosen map, MIBR started dominantly, securing a 5-0 lead, but G2 Esports made a comeback, ending the first half at 7-5. The showdown remained intense, reaching a tie of 12-12 and going into overtime.

Despite the efforts of the team led by Matheus “mazin” Araújo, G2 reached map point with a score of 15-13, taking the contest to the third map.

In the deciding map, Sunset, MIBR started strong. The first half ended in a tie of 6-6. Taking advantage of G2’s economic downturn, the Brazilians secured a 2-1 lead.

Despite the victory, MIBR did not advance in the battle for third place due to the round difference and bid farewell to the Americas KICK//OFF. During the championship, MIBR secured victories on 2 maps and suffered one defeat, but their difference in rounds won was 52-60 (-8).
