Sentinels, led by Sacy, triumphs over LOUD in epic VCT Americas Kickoff final

Last Sunday (3), the Sentinels team, led by Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi, emerged victorious in the grand final against LOUD at the VCT Americas Kickoff, securing their excellence by winning 3-2 in the series and ensuring their place in the Masters of Madrid. Despite the defeat, the Brazilians from LOUD also secured their spot in the main tournament.

The final battle was fought in a best-of-five maps series (BO5), with both teams showcasing intense rounds, providing an exciting spectacle for the Brazilian VALORANT community.

Sunset – 13-11

In the first map, Sunset, LOUD started with an advantage, but the determined Sentinels managed an impressive comeback, securing four consecutive rounds, including a 1vs3 by Sacy. Verduxa, however, managed to balance the match, with standout plays from Less. In the second half, Sentinels secured the map point and closed out the first map of the series.

Split – 13-3

In Split, Sentinels’ map choice, the team started strong, with a victory in the pistol round. Less, from LOUD, demonstrated exceptional performance, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Sentinels’ offensive, who won the first half 9-3 and closed the map 13-3.

Icebox – 13-11

TenZ, from Sentinels, once again secured the pistol, scoring points on the icy map. Despite the confident start, LOUD regained the lead and advanced to an 8-4 score, with a crucial play by qck. However, the Brazilian team persevered and won the map 13-11, reducing the series disadvantage to 2-1.

Bind – 13-8

LOUD secured the first point in Bind with an express pistol, but Sacy’s quick response with a 3k balanced things out. Qck’s team dominated the first half, closing it out at 9-3. Verduxa ensured the series tie by winning 13-8.

Haven – 13-4

Sacy shone in the pistol against saadhak, paving the way for an easy first half for Sentinels, which ended at 9-2. Despite an attempt at recovery from LOUD, the Sentinels secured the 13-4 victory on the decisive map.

Sentinels emerged as the grand champion of KICK//OFF, winning 13-4 and securing their spot in the Masters of Madrid. Meanwhile, LOUD, despite the defeat, also secured their participation in the playoffs and the runner-up title.

The VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) 2024: Masters Madrid will begin on March 14, with 8 teams from the regional qualifiers competing for the world title.
