Cloud9, a renowned competitor in the VALORANT Franchise League, revealed on their social media platforms last Wednesday (6th) the decision to part ways with player Wippie.
Following the announcement, Wippie shared his perspective on the situation on his social media, revealing that his time at C9 did not unfold as planned. Furthermore, he expressed his availability as a free agent and openness to new opportunities.
“As of today, I am free to negotiate. My tenure at C9 did not meet expectations, but I am grateful to the team, my colleagues, and the fans for their support and the opportunity. I am eager to return to competitions as soon as possible. I am considering all offers and am willing to relocate if necessary,” stated Wippie.
Cloud9’s Participation in the Franchise League Cloud9 has been a prominent presence in the VALORANT Franchise League since the previous year. With the roster set for 2024, Wippie joined the team from G2 Esports, securing their spot in the VCT Americas.
Despite an initial victory over MIBR in the VCT KICKOFF Americas, the team’s performance did not meet expectations. As a result, there is still no information available about who will fill the vacancy left by the Russian player in Cloud9’s lineup.
