Masters Madrid: The Tournament, Participating Teams, and Full Schedule

March 14th, marks the beginning of the highly anticipated VALORANT Masters Madrid, a competition that brings together eight teams representing four distinct international leagues, all vying for the prestigious title of champion and a generous portion of the total prize pool of R$ 2.4 million at stake.

Participating Teams

The teams that secured their position in this tournament competed in the KICK//OFF tournaments of the four International Leagues: VCT Americas, VCT China, VCT EMEA, and VCT Pacific. Among the competitors are heavyweight names such as LOUD, Sentinels, Paper Rex, Gen.G, Team Heretics, Karmine Corp, FunPlus Phoenix, and EDward Gaming.

Competition Format

The VALORANT Masters Madrid will consist of two main phases. The first stage, known as the Swiss Phase, will take place from March 14th to 18th.

During this phase, teams will face off in Best of Three (BO3) matches. The goal is to secure two victories within a maximum of three rounds to progress to the next phase.

Matchups in the Swiss Phase will be determined by random draw, and winning teams in the first round will advance, while the defeated will compete in elimination matches. The top four placing teams will advance to the next phase.

In the elimination phase, taking place from March 21st to 24th, matchups will be determined by random draw. The competition will be played in a double-elimination bracket format, featuring upper and lower brackets.

Prize Pool

With a total prize pool of R$2.4 million, the eight teams will compete for their share of the total prize pool.

The champion will be awarded R$1.2 million, while the second-place finisher will receive R$496 thousand and the third-place finisher will secure R$323 thousand. The prize distribution is as follows:
