As the debut of the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) 2024: Masters Shanghai approaches, one of the most prestigious global tournaments in VALORANT, Riot Games has unveiled the initial clashes that will kick off the event.
Embracing the characteristic Swiss format of esports, Masters Shanghai has determined its first matchups through a draw. In the initial phase of the tournament, eight teams will compete in MD3 (best of three maps) matches, notably facing opponents from different regions.
Through an official announcement, the Brazilian VALORANT social media account has disclosed the brackets outlining the tournament’s path towards subsequent stages.

- Team Heretics (EMEA) versus Dragon Ranger Gaming (China)
- FunPlus Phoenix (China) versus FUT Esports (EMEA)
- Gen.G (Pacific) versus Leviatán (Americas)
- G2 Esports (Americas) versus T1 (Pacific)
The VALORANT Masters Shanghai is scheduled to take place between May 23 and June 9, bringing together teams qualified through regional tournaments in the Americas, China, EMEA, and the Pacific. Representing Brazil, player Erick “aspas” Santos will compete in the tournament for the Argentinean team Leviatán.
