World Champion Faces Visa Issues and Remains in China

Fifteen days after Leviatán’s elimination at the VALORANT Masters in Shanghai, Erick “aspas” Santos is still in China. On Wednesday (12th), the Brazilian player revealed he is facing difficulties in obtaining the visa needed to return to the United States, where he resides and trains.

Leviatán was eliminated from the Shanghai Masters at the end of May during the Swiss stage of the VALORANT tournament by FUT Esports. Since then, aspas has been stuck in Shanghai due to delays in the renewal process of his visa.

On his social media, aspas clarified the situation: “Since it’s something out of my control, I’m here to give you an update. I’m still in Shanghai because my visa is under renewal and isn’t ready yet. Just to avoid any misunderstandings or false information about my situation, I’m just having visa issues. Once my visa is approved, I’ll be able to return to training.”

Currently, aspas has not yet returned to training with Leviatán, but he has commitments in the coming days as he will compete in VCT Americas – Stage 2, scheduled to take place from June 22 to July 21. Leviatán’s debut is set for June 22, against the Brazilian team MIBR at 6 PM (Brasília time).
