VALORANT: G2 Player Wins Round While Disconnected; Watch the Video

Last Saturday (28th), Mimi, the captain of G2 Gozen, had one of the most unexpected moments during the Game Changers EMEA 2024. In a decisive match against NASR Ignite, during the third map, something surprising happened: Mimi’s computer suddenly shut down, causing her to disconnect right at the beginning of the first round on the Sunset map.

Even while disconnected, Mimi managed to win a 1v1 clutch and secure the round for her team. This occurred because the opposing player, unaware of Mimi’s disconnect, failed to defuse the Spike in time, leading to G2 Gozen’s automatic round win. Watch the video of this incredible moment:

Despite the technical issue, G2 Gozen kept their composure and won the match 13-8. This victory earned them a spot in the grand final of the Game Changers EMEA 2024 and secured their place in the Game Changers Championship 2024, the inclusive VALORANT world championship.

G2 Gozen, led by Mimi, will now face GIANTX GC on October 6th, aiming for the European title.
