Hero Base, the organization that entered the competitive VALORANT scene in February 2024, has announced its temporary withdrawal from the game. After acquiring the two-time VCB (VALORANT Challengers Brazil) champion roster from The Union, the organization has decided to suspend its operations in VALORANT indefinitely.
This decision came after a thorough assessment of the competitive VALORANT landscape. Players raafa, dgzin, guhRVN, and pancc are now free to negotiate with other teams, while askia, another key player, had already left the roster before this announcement.
“After careful consideration, Hero Base has decided to temporarily halt its operations in VALORANT. We remain committed to the Fortnite scene, focusing on content creation and supporting emerging talent. We thank everyone who was part of this journey. It was an honor to leave our mark in VALORANT,” the organization said in an official statement.
Hero Base’s exit comes during a period of instability in the Brazilian VALORANT competitive scene. Throughout the 2024 season, the team faced inconsistent performance and failed to qualify for Ascension Americas, the main tournament that grants access to the international circuit. The organization now joins others like XLD Gaming and RED Canids, who have also ceased their VALORANT operations, reflecting the uncertainty within the national competitive scene.
With this exit, Hero Base leaves its spot in VCB 2024 open, while its players explore new opportunities in the market.
