VALORANT: Riot Changes Plans, No OFF//SEASON 2024 Tournaments in Brazil

Contrary to previous announcements by Riot Games, the Brazilian Valorant scene will see no tournaments during the 2024 OFF//SEASON. The only scheduled competition, the Multiplatform Esports Games (MEG), has been canceled, according to reports from the VSpace portal.

The MEG qualifiers were initially planned for September 27-29, with a grand final scheduled for November 23. However, these events did not take place, and no official statement has been made by Riot or the tournament organizers. In response, MEG’s organizers informed VSpace that details regarding the 2025 edition will be released soon.

The 2023 MEG tournament was a success, running from October to November, and concluded with a live final in Rio de Janeiro, where FURIA defeated XIT in an intense match. With this year’s cancellation, Brazil will be without Valorant tournaments during the OFF//SEASON for the first time, a gap that may affect the local community and competitive scene.

For players aiming to maintain peak performance while awaiting new competitions, a quality connection is crucial. NoPing can reduce ping, latency, and lag issues, while enhancing FPS and resolving packet loss, jitter, and disconnects for a smoother gaming experience.
