The VALORANT community is proposing a new honor system for Riot Games’ FPS, aiming to foster a more positive and rewarding environment among players. This idea, shared in an online discussion forum, suggests implementing a reward-based system for players who display good sportsmanship in matches.
The honor system would work through various levels, offering exclusive perks for well-rated players. One of the primary incentives would be granting “rerolls” in the Night Market, allowing players to refresh their available skin options to find more desirable cosmetics. According to the proposal, the higher a player’s honor level, the more rewards they would receive. Players at level 2 would be entitled to one reroll, while those at level 3 could use up to two rerolls.
In addition to rewards, the system would impose strict penalties for toxic behavior. Players who insult teammates, quit matches, or engage in unsportsmanlike conduct would lose all progress in the honor system, promoting a healthier player environment.
The proposal sparked mixed reactions: some players praise the potential improvement in game atmosphere, while others feel the rewards—mainly centered around skins—might not be enough and suggest stricter punishments for negative actions. Nonetheless, many players support the idea, hoping for a more unified and less toxic community.
