The prices of virtual currencies used in Riot Games titles like League of Legends (LoL) and VALORANT will see an increase in several regions, including Brazil. Riot Games announced on Tuesday, September 3rd, that starting September 18th, the prices of virtual currencies in all its games will undergo significant adjustments.
According to the developer, this change is necessary due to global economic fluctuations. In a statement, Riot Games explained: “From time to time, we need to adjust our prices to reflect changes in exchange rates and local economic conditions.”
Before these changes take effect, the company is offering bonus virtual currencies for purchases made directly in the game client, but this offer is only available in the regions where price increases are happening.
New RP (Riot Points) Prices
The prices of Riot Points (RP), the virtual currency for League of Legends, will be adjusted as follows:
- The R$ 10.90 package for 400 RP will increase to approximately R$ 13.08
- The R$ 34.90 package for 1,275 RP will increase to approximately R$ 41.88
- The R$ 69.90 package for 2,575 RP will increase to approximately R$ 83.88
- The R$ 124.90 package for 4,575 RP will increase to approximately R$ 149.88
- The R$ 174.90 package for 6,425 RP will increase to approximately R$ 209.88
- The R$ 349.90 package for 12,850 RP will increase to approximately R$ 419.88
New VP (VALORANT Points) Prices
VALORANT Points (VP), the virtual currency used in VALORANT, will also see price adjustments:
- The 475 VP package: from R$ 16.90 to approximately R$ 19.27
- The 1,200 VP package: from R$ 39.90 to approximately R$ 45.49
- The 2,300 VP package: from R$ 74.90 to approximately R$ 85.39
- The 4,400 VP package: from R$ 139.90 to approximately R$ 159.49
- The 5,500 VP package: from R$ 169.90 to approximately R$ 193.69
- The 11,500 VP package: from R$ 349.90 to approximately R$ 398.89
