The Sentinels organization has announced the contract renewal of player zekken, one of the standout names in the team’s 2024 lineup. With this decision, zekken becomes the first member of the VALORANT roster to secure his spot until 2025.
The announcement was made humorously on social media, where Sentinels recreated the iconic scene used to announce the retirements of players Sacy and TenZ. In the video, zekken confidently states, “I’m not going anywhere,” reaffirming his commitment to the team.
While zekken remains with Sentinels, the future of other players, such as johnqt and Zellsis, remains uncertain for the upcoming season. Team executive Rob Moore reassured fans, explaining that Sentinels will undergo a rebuilding process in 2025. “Stay strong, Sentinels fans. Have hope. Remember how tough things were in 2023 when we didn’t win anything. We’re going to rebuild. We have a solid foundation, and I promise to bring good news soon,” Moore said.
Zekken’s previous contract was set to expire at the end of 2024, but the organization chose to extend its relationship with the young talent. However, the new contract’s end date has not yet been disclosed.
