FURIA’s VALORANT team is undergoing a significant overhaul. This Thursday (17th), the Brazilian esports organization announced the departures of player Alexandre “xand” Zizi and coach Pedro “koy” Pulig. These changes are part of a broader restructuring effort aimed at improving the team’s performance in upcoming tournaments.
The reorganization is being led by the team manager, Lucas “lukzera” Soares, who is overseeing the revamp after a season without major accomplishments. Xand, who joined FURIA in May of this year, had a relatively short stint with the team. Once regarded as one of Brazil’s top duelists, he struggled to maintain his previous level of performance, leading to his departure.
Meanwhile, koy, who took over as the coach of FURIA at the end of 2023, is also parting ways with the team. His main achievement was winning the Multiplatform Esports Game 2023 (MEG 2023). Prior to FURIA, koy had stints with prominent teams like Vivo Keyd Stars and RED Canids.
With both xand and koy leaving, all eyes are now on FURIA’s next moves to reinforce its VALORANT roster. Although no specific replacements have been announced yet, the organization is looking for players and a coach capable of taking the team to new heights.
