On Monday (28), the Brazilian VALORANT competitive scene was surprised by the inclusive MIBR team’s withdrawal from the 3rd split of the VALORANT Challengers Brazil (VCB) 2024. Following the team’s decision, Riot Games announced that the slot would go to the second-place team.
Riot Games’ Statement
In an official statement, Riot Games explained that LOUD, as the second-place finisher in the last Game Changers stage, was invited to fill the spot left by MIBR. Riot clarified:
“Riot Games and Gamers Club announce that LOUD has been invited to participate in the VALORANT Challengers Brazil Stage 3, due to the inclusive MIBR team’s decision to step down. This decision adheres to our commitment to fair competition, ensuring a just and competitive environment for all participants.”
MIBR’s Position
The MIBR team stated that the withdrawal was due to scheduling conflicts with previous commitments. However, no official announcement has been made on the organization’s social media. LOUD, the team benefiting from this opportunity, has yet to comment on the situation.
