Unveiling a New Thailand-Inspired Showdown Map

During the thrilling Game Changers Championship final, VALORANT’s inclusive tournament, the latest Showdown map named “Drift” was revealed. Drawing inspiration from the Thai landscapes, this scenario will be available in Riot Games’ title starting on Tuesday .

Drift was crafted based on the vibrant floating markets of the Asian region, offering strategically designed sightlines around the central area. With various paths available, the map encourages dynamic combat and provides space for players to devise new strategies.

A notable feature includes the addition of suspended ropes, allowing players to leap between different levels. This not only creates exciting aiming duels but also introduces a fresh tactical dimension to the game.

The Showdown game mode currently features three custom maps: Square, District, and Kasbah. In these intense five-versus-five battles, teams compete in timed phases with no financial constraints. This approach grants players the freedom to choose their equipment at the beginning of the match or any time at the spawn base, significantly expanding tactical possibilities.
