Enthusiasts of top VALORANT teams worldwide have eagerly awaited the skins for the champion team of the VALORANT Champions Tour Champions (VCT Champions) for quite some time. Last Sunday, the game’s esports leader unveiled the official release date.
In an extensive Twitter thread covering details of the entire 2024 season and even delving into some initial changes for 2025, VALORANT Esports Head Leo Faria confirmed that the skin packages will be launched in February 2024. The release will coincide with the start of each league’s tournament, determining qualification for Masters Madrid.
While specific release dates for VCT Champions team skins weren’t mentioned, the Rioter assured that initial tournaments are set to kick off on February 16 in the Americas, February 17 in the Pacific, February 20 in the EMEA, and February 22 in the inaugural VCT China season.
The packages will be available throughout the season, and all organizations in international leagues, including Ascension, will receive a package containing a weapon skin and various “goodies.” Faria expressed great optimism about the VALORANT Esports team.
The team behind the VCT Champions skins release aims to replicate the revenue generation success achieved by thematic packages in the past two years. According to Riot, over $33 million in digital item revenues were directly shared with participating teams, with “almost $12 million” of that amount going directly to players and coaches.
Team cosmetics have long been at the top of the wish list for both VALORANT fans and professionals. Many anticipate stylish customizations with unique designs, in contrast to a simple standard skin for each team, typically featuring only their colors and logo.
