VCT China Unveils the 10 Confirmed Teams

The upcoming edition of the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) will undergo a new dynamic in 2024, introducing four leagues instead of the traditional three. The major highlight is the inclusion of the Chinese league, which now has confirmation for its ten participating teams.

While some Chinese teams have received invitations to international VCT events, this competition marks their full integration into the league structure. This encompasses not only tournaments but also weekly games and notably, the franchising model.

In contrast to competitions in the Americas, EMEA, and the Pacific, where most teams and players had extensive experience in VALORANT’s top tier before becoming official partners, many VCT China teams are relatively unknown internationally.

Although names like Edward Gaming (EDG) and FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) catch the attention of seasoned viewers of Riot Games’ tactical shooter, others like TYLOO and Nova Esports remain entirely off the global radar.

One certainty stands out: following the surprising impact of EDG and Bilibili Gaming (BLG) at the VCT Champions 2023 in Los Angeles, the world’s eyes are now massively turning to the Chinese VALORANT scene.

Players and teams from the region have already demonstrated their ability to compete with the best globally. The fact that some of these organizations aren’t recognized globally does not diminish the skill of these players to shine in the world’s most competitive circuit.

The ten confirmed teams for VCT China 2024 are:

  1. AG VALORANT
  2. Bilibili Gaming
  3. Edward Gaming
  4. FunPlus Phoenix
  5. JD Gaming
  6. Nova Esports
  7. Trace Esports
  8. Titan Esports Club
  9. TYLOO VALORANT
  10. Wolves Esports
