Title: Significant Changes in Breeze with the Upcoming VALORANT Update

In news sure to excite players, the Metal area on bombsite A in the Breeze map will reopen in the upcoming Patch 8.01. Riot Games announced this on Friday (19), revealing that the planned change initially slated for the last release, Patch 8.0, will finally be implemented on the following Tuesday (23).

The developer shared this information on their official X profile, explaining that the decision to reopen the Metal area was made after its closure in Patch 7.04. At that time, the community expressed dissatisfaction with the resulting void in the map, impacting the entry dynamics into bombsite A on Breeze and, consequently, mid rotations.

Furthermore, the next update will reintroduce the Haven map to the VALORANT competitive pool, replacing Icebox. Recent discussions on Reddit among players have showcased differing opinions regarding the three-bomb map’s complexity in defender domination and ease of rotation.
