Seoul Announced as Host City for VALORANT Champions 2024

Seoul has been chosen as the host city for the highly anticipated VALORANT Champions 2024, as officially announced by Riot Games last Saturday. This will mark the first VALORANT global event to be held in South Korea, a significant milestone for the region and fans of the game worldwide.

The announcement was made in a video presented by Leo Faria, Riot Games’ Global Head of Esports, unveiling Seoul as the chosen venue for the tournament. Dates for the VALORANT Champions 2024 were also confirmed, with the event scheduled to take place over three weeks from August 1st to August 25th. During this period, the top 16 teams from around the world will gather in the South Korean capital to compete for the coveted title of world champion.

The competitive calendar for 2024 features a series of exciting events in the VALORANT Champions Tour. The KICK//OFF, which took place from February 16th to March 3rd, marked the beginning of the season with an inaugural tournament, from which the top eight teams advanced to the Masters Madrid.

The Masters Madrid, held from March 14th to March 24th, brought together the top eight teams from the KICK//OFF in a global event in the Spanish capital. This event determined which teams would start the season with an advantage.

Next up, the International League – Stage 1, held from April 3rd to May 12th, saw the best teams from each international league competing for the chance to secure a spot in the next global event.

The Masters Shanghai, from May 23rd to June 9th, was the second Masters event of the season, where twelve qualified teams from Stage 1 competed in a fierce showdown in the Chinese city. This event extended over two intense weeks.

The International League – Stage 2, from June 15th to July 21st, marked the final stage before the VALORANT Champions. The top three teams from each league secured a place in the world tournament, with a fourth team from each league also qualifying based on points accumulated throughout the year.

With Seoul revealed as the host city for VALORANT Champions 2024, the esports community eagerly awaits this exciting event, promising high-level action and competition to the VALORANT competitive scene.
