On Monday night (19th), the decisive matches of the new round of the group stage of VCT Americas KICK//OFF took place, one of the most prestigious VALORANT tournaments with significant participation from Brazilian teams. MIBR and Sentinels emerged victorious, respectively defeating FURIA and 100 Thieves.
MIBR vs. FURIA (2-0):
In an exciting MD3 series, MIBR and FURIA started the battle on the Split map, MIBR’s choice. Although the first half was evenly matched, FURIA secured the advantage and won 7-5. However, MIBR bounced back, securing seven consecutive rounds and clinching the victory 13-9.
In the decisive map, Breeze, despite FURIA’s initial lead, MIBR managed an impressive comeback, winning 13-11 and eliminating the team from the tournament.
The winners will return to the server on Sunday (25), facing the loser between NRG and Cloud9, to be decided on Friday (23).
Sentinels vs. 100 Thieves (2-1):
In a close series, the team led by Gustavo “sacy” Rossi secured a spot in the next round with a 2-1 victory over 100 Thieves.
In the first map, 100 Thieves’ choice, Sentinels prevailed with a dominant 13-5 victory on the Lotus map. In the second half, the team continued its dominance and secured the win.
On the Bind map, 100 Thieves balanced the contest, winning 13-6. Despite Sentinels’ efforts, 100 Thieves secured the victory.
The next match between LOUD and Leviatán will determine Sentinels’ opponent in the next phase, scheduled for Friday (23), promising to be an exciting showdown in the tournament.
