Brazilian teams have the opportunity to face off in the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Americas 2024, as announced by Riot Games on Monday (11). The event features a structure divided into two groups, with potential clashes among the Brazilian representatives during the playoffs.

Eleven teams have been selected to compete in the VCT, divided into two groups named Alpha and Omega, with five and six teams, respectively. In the Omega group, notable Brazilian representatives include FURIA, LOUD, and MIBR, along with Leviatán, led by Brazilian player Erick “aspas” Santos.

The composition of the groups is as follows:

Alpha Group:

Sentinels

Cloud9

G2 Esports

NRG

KRÜ Esports

Omega Group:

LOUD

FURIA

MIBR

Leviatán

100THIEVES

Evil Geniuses

The championship will be divided into two stages, with the first stage starting on April 6. Matches will be played between teams from different groups, using the best-of-three maps (BO3) format and double elimination, spanning approximately one month.

The top six teams will advance to the playoffs, while the remaining teams will have a second chance in the lower bracket in May. During this phase, Brazilian teams may face each other depending on their position in the standings.

In the playoffs, all matches will be played in BO3 format, except for the lower bracket final and the grand final, which will be decided in a best-of-five series (BO5).

The tournament offers three direct slots to the VCT Masters Shanghai, scheduled for late May.
