Philadelphia-based event organizer, renowned in the United States for hosting FPS (First Person Shooter) game championships, has announced a significant change in the planned VALORANT tournament. The decision to switch to Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) was prompted by the absence of team registrations during the two-week period.
Under the new name “CS/DO,” the tournament is scheduled to take place from March 15 to 17 in Philadelphia, USA. The prize pool will be scaled based on the number of registered teams, distributed as follows:
- US$10,000 (approximately R$50,000) for 31 or more teams
- US$8,000 (approximately R$40,000) for 24-30 teams
- US$6,000 (approximately R$30,000) for 17-23 teams
- US$4,000 (approximately R$20,000) for 12-16 teams
- US$2,000 (approximately R$10,000) for 8-11 teams
- US$1,000 (approximately R$5,000) for 4-7 teams
The values in Brazilian real are approximate and based on the current exchange rate. Registration is open to any team upon payment of a fee, which can be completed through the official tournament website.
