On the 31st, Valo2Asia showcased a team challenging the conventions of esports, proving age is no obstacle in this realm. Matagi Snipers, comprised of players aged 60 to 75, stands out as VALORANT’s first senior team.

Hailing from the Akita province in the Asia-Pacific, Matagi Snipers members defy stereotypes, showcasing that passion for gaming knows no age limits. Currently recruiting players aged 65 and above, the organization also welcomes “juniors” aged 60 to 64.

Gameplay videos shared on Twitter gained swift attention, particularly one featuring mark25.

Founded in 2021, Matagi Snipers isn’t new to esports, having previously participated in Fortnite and Apex Legends before focusing on VALORANT.

The organization highlights that, regardless of age, the passion for esports can endure, ushering in a new era where age diversity becomes a driving force rather than a limitation.
